"Yoga is not about self-improvement, it's about self acceptance."
- GURMUKH KAUR KHALSA
Life is fast-paced, blink and you might miss it. Yoga gives those that practice it a chance to stop, think, relax and recalibrate the mind, body and spirit.
I understand only too well the importance of being able to jump off the guinea-pig wheel of corporate life. At one point it nearly finished me off entirely but thankfully, I found yoga and the rest, as they say, is history. Except it's not history, the memory is with me every day, only now I get to accept what happened and am able to learn from it and move forward.
Whether you want to practice in a group or prefer one-to-one sessions, the fact that you want to practice at all means you recognise the importance of wellness for your mind and your body. You may even just want to watch YouTube videos until you feel comfortable to join in, that's ok, I've got that covered too. Whether in your office, on your own or in a group, however, whenever, wherever you practice, just make time for you.
